The most intriguing organism...

Click Beetles; I think they are so cool, and they make a fun noise when they flip themselves over.

What advice would you give to incoming Ecology majors?

To make friends with the people in your major. Because Ecology is a relatively small major you are going to have a lot of classes with the same people, so it would be good to make friends with them early on.

What was the best piece of advice you received as a student?

To get to know the faculty and staff members. You never know who could have potential jobs for you in the future, or who might know someone who does research in what interests you.

The course that most changed my perspective on the world ...

Ecosystem Ecology. I have learned a lot more about climate change in this class alone than all of the others I have taken combined. It is nice to have facts to back up the climate change argument to my conservative family members.

What would be your ideal job in life?

I want to become a professor, hopefully being able to do some research with insects.

What one word best describes my experience in the Odum School of Ecology?

Wonderful

What was the most fun during your years in Ecology at UGA?

The Maymester in Costa Rica studying tropical ecology was the most fun I had. I made some really great friends there, and had a blast in Costa Rica.
