The most intriguing organism...

As a group of beings, shorebirds—for their travels, efficiency, and resiliency (and they are so dang cute)!

What advice would you give to incoming Ecology majors?

Ask questions! Hug Misha! Play that game of bananagrams! And do what you are interested in—not what others want you to do!

What was the best piece of advice you received as a student?

You are capable of more than you realize.

The course that most changed my perspective on the world ...

Environmental Problem Solving for allowing me to learn more about the diversity and beauty of Georgia’s ecosystems and people. Ornithology for deepening my love of and appreciation for birds.

What would be your ideal job in life?

My ideal job would be one where I can: connect people with the land, work to protect at-risk ecosystems and species (especially for birds!), and create environmental art.

What one word best describes my experience in the Odum School of Ecology?

Wild!

What was the most fun during your years in Ecology at UGA?

Story time with Misha, Scott, and Julie. Natural history class field trips. Ecology camping trips. Waffle czaring. Bananagrams. And the 2017-2018 “immortal” pumpkin!
