The most intriguing organism...

Any crocodilian species because they have full cerebral cortexes, complex parental care, and are generally badass.

What advice would you give to incoming Ecology majors?

Take every opportunity you can, both academic and non-academic!

The course that most changed my perspective on the world ...

The courses that I took on study abroad were definitely courses I will never forget. Going to Costa Rica fulfilled a lifelong dream of studying in a tropical rainforest. Going to Europe to study classical and neoclassical art, architecture, and archaeology fulfilled a lifelong dream of being able to see those pieces of art and places in person. Both of these experiences, as different as they were, allowed me to explore new languages and cultures and connected me with great friends!

What would be your ideal job in life?

Forest sorcerer.

What one word best describes my experience in the Odum School of Ecology?

What was the most fun during your years in Ecology at UGA?

Getting to participate in research at the Savannah River Ecology lab! The research was fun; I also enjoyed getting to visit Aiken and getting to know and interact with more graduate students.
